Strumming Some Heartstrings

Friday, February 29
at 8:43 PM

I had a great day today, possibly the best I've had in this month.

And yeah, it's a leap day. HOW GREAT IS THAT?

Super fab.

School ended around 12.50, usual time. Then I had that idiotic storytelling competition and couldn't go for Choir. I LOVE CHOIR!

Great. Now I'm going to get an "ABSENT" on my Choir record no thanks to that idiotic Chinese storytelling competition.

1D had SIX people going for the competition - which is pretty damn surprising cuz' every other class had two or three. But 1D is the only class that has a mix of HCL, CL and ML. Oh, and Amirul's the only one in the entire NCHS Sec1 2008 cohort taking HML.

So we had six people - Me, Clarine, Mabel, Bryan, Kenn and Travis.

Kenn and Travis didn't show, cuz' both had CCA. Kenn had NCC. Travis, I dunno what CCA.

So Bryan was like, the only guy.

Wahlao, the competition was DAMN scary lahh! I mean, EVERY competition is scary, but this one was ESPECIALLY scary cuz':
1. The 1A people did so well, and they went first. (VERY, VERY intimidating.)
2. It was freezing cold in the Meeting Room. (Clarine, Mabel and I were actually TREMBLING.)
3. I hadn't memorised my script WORD FOR WORD.

Grr....

We were rehearsing in class, then Liang Zhou kept making funny faces and making us all laugh and being very annoying, so I had a fight with him (Verbal). Then after he left for NCC, ZeMin was being an idiot, pretending to be the judge and giving us VERY useless comments.

I beat him up. Not exactly beat him up, I whipped him with my plastic ruler. Then he ran out through the back door, then I chased after him out of the front door. Then we went running around the classroom blocks.

After that I confined him to the front door (Chest on front door, head facing inside of classroom) and made him apologize to us, then I forgave him.

Hahahaha.

Being violent makes guys terribly scared of you. I think the only guys who aren't scared of me are Luqman (Cuz' I haven't beaten him up yet), JunHan (Haven't beaten him up either), ZhenYuan (He gives me no reason to beat him up.) and Liang Zhou (He's like, my playful arch-nemesis. We're friends, though.)

Oh, and a few others.

The competition ended around 3.15 liddat, so I couldn't go for Choir. Mabel and I walked to Compass Point, I took MRT.

It is NO JOKE, I tell you. Meeting a TKGS girl is no joke.

Vanessa and I went to Bugis, so I WALKED to Compass Point, took the Sengkang MRT ALL THE WAY to Outram Park(13 stops), changed to the East-West line, then crammed with a bunch of people to Bugis.

VANESSA, NOW YOU KNOW WHY I MET YOU ONLY AT 4+.

We went to take neoprints. I mean, today is a SPECIAL day. It's February the 29th. The next time we'll ever see another one is when we're in JC.

By the time we're in JC, we may have lost touch. (Touch wood.)

The neoprint shop at Bugis ROCKS, OKAY? There are like, SO DAMN MANY neoprint machines, and they're all DAMN nice.

Except that most of them are $11, so remember to bring a few spare $1 coins on top of your $10 notes.

We took 3 times on 3 different machines.

1st machine - $10. The neoprints were great, but after we finished decorating, the thing still haven't print yet. So we went to take at the 2nd machine. After taking at the 2nd machine, the neoprints at this machine still hadn't come out. So we asked the girl. Then dunno what she do, the neoprints came out.

2nd machine - $11. This one was nice cuz' there were sparkly backgrounds and all. BUT. Vanessa was wearing her TKGS uniform, which meant that she was wearing GREEN. The background of all neoprint machines is green.

You can see it coming.

So we didn't choose the glitter backgrounds. There was one that turned out pretty nice, and that one turned out metallic orange. Then there's a skull across the centre, with the date. Nice.

3rd machine - $11. The neoprints were the nicest here. EXCEPT that the backgrounds were superbly hard to pose with. Like a cellphone, for example. There were like, 2 cellphones, and your heads were supposed to be where the screens were. But that one didn't turn out nice, so we didn't print that one.

That machine, our poses all super ugly, so we cover with backgrounds. So you can only see our faces=).

In the neoprints in the 1st machine, I'm wearing my school tie. Then the 2nd and 3rd set I took off my tie.

After that we went to McDonalds', and shared a packet of curry sauce. She ordered a 6-piece Chicken McNugget Student Meal. I ordered a packet of large fries and an Oreo McFlurry. We were talking and talking, then she told me that IF I had gone to TKGS I would be in 1E8.

Around 6pm, we went into The Wallet Shop. Then Vanessa wanted to buy a MYUK handbag, but decided to come back another day.

After that we cut through this shop selling LOADS of Mickey Mouse things, and ended up on the side where all the carts are.

There, Vanessa bought these two ADORABLY cute pouches. One for her handphone, the other one I dunno. One was an ice-cream, one was a lollipop. Both were super-cute. Then we bought these food keychains in donuts. She got the chocolate, I got the strawberry.

We're donut partners=)

Then we went to another shop, and Vanessa got this SUPER, SUPER-CUTE stapler with a zebra on it in wood. Oh, and we both got pig torchlights. Mine's the same as Jeri's, except that Jeri's pig's nose is pink, and my pig's nose is black.

I was telling her that since Bugis is kinda near TKGS, I had kinda seen a place near her school. I said that I would bring her to Compass Point another day so that she could have a taste of what was near MY school. (I bet you she'll love the shop Montik - you know, the one opposite from 77th Street.)

Oh yeah, I told her that we could walk to NanChiau if the security guard let us in.

Then we went home. THE STUPID TRAIN WAS PACKED TO THE EXTENT WE WERE ALL SQUISHED LIKE SARDINES (Literally) UNTIL CITY HALL. There was one businessman who was trying to get in when the doors were going to close, then he was almost , through the first door, when the second door closed and threw him out.

Ouch. Poor guy/

Took the MRT to Outram, changed to the NEL, took MRT to Kovan, and waited 25min for the 112 to come. I reached home at 7.35pm.

End. Of. Story.

Biggest regret of the day: Going for that stupid storytelling competition and meeting Vanessa later than the appointed time.
Most eye-opening experience of the day: That the East-West (Green) line is ALWAYS packed full of people, no matter what time of day it is, as compared to the spacious North-East (Purple) line which I'm so used to. (The people on the East-West line trains make the North-East line trains seem like a desert.)

That's all. HAPPY FEBRUARY 29TH!

JANelle;

P.S. You may say,"So what if it's February 29th?" HELLO? Let me remind you that, assuming we all live until sixty (Touch wood - I hope we live longer), we will only get to experience TWENTY-FOUR February 29ths in our lifetime.

24 isn't exactly a lot.

Hellohs...

Haven't been posting recently, cuz' I've been reading all the messages posted on my tagbox. And then after I read, I just don't feel like posting.

But today, something got me in the mood of posting.

I suddenly remembered something I saw yesterday on my way home from school, and I had this sudden flash of wisdom (As in, I suddenly "saw the "light"")

I was on the 156 with Jeri, going home from school, when I saw this old man on crutches going up the bus steps.

That bus stop had a lot of people, and a lot of people got onto the 156. Yet, no one wanted or bothered to help him. They just scowled at him and went past him.

The poor guy was struggling to get up the stairs with his crutches, but managed in the end.

You're probably wondering why I spent so many sentences talking about an old man. But that's not the point.

The point is, seeing this old man made me realise my importance in life. How I'm brought onto this Earth not to criticise others, but to do good to them and make a difference to their lives.

How did this old man show me this anyway?

Well, you see ah, seeing this old man made me think. You know, this guy could be at home, walloping in his misery of having a bad leg and having to rely on crutches to get around. He could rely on his parents or guardians to fetch him everywhere. Yet, he's come to terms with himself, and learnt to accept himself for HIMSELF. What's more, he takes PUBLIC TRANSPORT. And let's admit it. Bus isn't exactly the easiest way to get around.

But the point is, HE, with his bad leg and all, has learnt to ACCEPT HIMSELF. Accept himself for his bad leg, for his crutches, for taking a longer time to do things than ordinary people. And sometimes, all he needs is a little understanding from the people around him.

Then it made me think - this old man is actually kinda like my mom. I mean, if she can accept herself for who she is, then why can't I? As her daughter, I should be giving her moral support, not tearing her down.

I have decided that my blog will be more positive from now on. Oh, and I'm going to delete that post and all related tagbox entries too.

Moving on,

I got back my Literature class test yesterday, got 19/25. Michelle got 21/25, highest in class. Not fair. Why didn't I get 20????

Geez.

English common test back today, got 32/45. So far I think only Bryan Kee beat me, and I think he's going to minus 1 mark cuz' of question three. Me? I got question three wrong, so I don't have to further minus any marks.

Whee~

Hahahaha.

Geography paper will be returned on Thursday or Friday. Tomorrow's the Home Ec/D&T paper, also our last paper for CA1.

Yay!~

If there's nothing more, SOMEONE, PLEASE BRING ME TO GO WATCH THE LEAP YEARS. I want to go watch it! I saw the trailer on Channel 5, and the making of the show.

I WANT TO GO WATCH IT!!!!

Oh, FUCK.

I'm like... so damn pissed with my parents lahh!!!!

My common test this week, they go CONFISCATE my phone, TAKE AWAY my radio set, TAKE AWAY the telephone in my room, BAN me from using the house phone, BAN me from the computer.

All because my common test is this week.

FUCK them lah. My PSLE they also never liddat. My last year exams they also never confiscate my hp. Then the other day when I was talking on the phone with Vanessa she MADE me hang up. She was like,"Your primary school friends all have other friends already. They've moved on. Don't bother them already, later their mother call you a bad influence."

FUCK HER LAH. Just because she's an ANTI-SOCIAL creature who seldom talks on the phone with her friends doesn't mean I have to have no social life. Just because SHE has no social life other than the people from her office doesn't mean I must have no social life.

WTF LA. NO MSN. NO SMS-ING. NO TALKING ON PHONE. NO GOING ONLINE. NO STAYING BACK LATE AFTER CHOIR/SCHOOL.

She still says she's giving me a lot of privileges. What the hell? I don't consider having ZERO social life a privilege.

You see ah, if I cannot talk on the phone or go on MSN, my only other option is to SMS, right? Then when my SMS exceed she's going to terminate my line.

FUCK her la. If I everything also cannot, then might as well DON'T send me to school, DON'T send me for enrichment. Don't let me make friends. Might as well keep me locked in my room 24/7 and cut off my tongue so I can't talk.

Fuck.

COMMON TEST. So? If THIS is what she's giving me for my Sec1 CA1, then I honestly wonder what she'll be giving me for my "O" levels. Grounding for a whole two years? (Sec3 abd Sec4), locking up my room and making me sleep in the storeroom? Locking away all my storybooks?

WHAT'S HER FUCKING PROBLEM? WAS SHE NEVER A TEENAGER? IF SHE WAS A TEENAGER, SHE SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT WE WANT IS FREEDOM. HUMAN BEINGS ARE SOCIABLE CREATURES.

Sometimes, I wonder if my mom is even a human. Which means that I may be an alien from Mars.

WOW. I may be an alien. Or an animal. Maybe even a female dog to all those Janelle Haters. Probably even a worm.

I am blardy pissed off with my life.

Sometimes I get this feeling that I was born into the wrong family. Like sometimes in those Korean dramas. My family doesn't understand me ONE BIT. She calls my Xiyao friends "a bad influence".

Well, if she deems Yiyun a bad influence (whom everyone knows is a guaikia, but in a good way.), then who the hell does she deem a good influence?

Probably those people who can't even tie their own shoelaces and wear their own socks every morning, like my brother.

Geez. I know I'm being incredibly rude, and I don't need YOU to insult me on my tagboard saying how incredibly rude I am. Go look around on your OWN blog for a change. Reflect on your own self. Don't tell me you've never gotten pissed off by your parents/grandparents/guardians before?

If you told me you didn't, you're a BIG, FAT LIAR.

JANelle.

Oh, damnit lah you people.

I release my thoughts on my blog, then you dunnid to come and post and say I'm weird and blahblahblah right?

I distinctly remember a phrase called "kicking me when I'm down"

Fuck off lah.

I'm weird, I know. I'm SUPER weird. It's also MY FAULT my "friends" refuse to talk to me. I got attitude problem, can??

HAPPY NOW????

I bet you must be grinning like mad at your computer screen.

Well, I shan't elaborate on that any further. Scarcely someone go get the wrong idea and start talking bad about me again.

I DON'T CARE, CAN?

Jeez. These people.

Anyway, moving on, today was okay lah. The Geog common test was easier than I expected. BUT I THINK I GOT THE OCEANS QUESTION WRONG. Issit P-A-I? Cuz' I think I get A-P-I. The bearings question I think I got wrong too, I put 60deg. Audrey said she put 119deg. I think it's cuz' my North Arrow was slanted. Either that or I measure in a COUNTER-clockwise direction.

Shit lah.

The English common test was okay lahh, the compre questions were all easy. The summary was harder. I think I'm gonna fail my summary, SOMEMORE NOT ALLOWED TO USE CORRECTION TAPE.

I was cancelling and cancelling and rewriting and rewriting, write until my paper cannot see anything at all.

So bo pian loh, go ask Mdm Siak for spare writing paper then re-write all over again. At least the re-written copy was legible.

Home Econs was quite fun lahh, made up with Jeri Sotong already. (Though I still haven't made up with Cream Puff and Munchkin yet.)

Then I didn't bring my workbook. JANELLE TAN IS GOING TO MUG HER HOME ECONOMICS LIKE A MAD WOMAN SO THAT SHE WON'T FAIL HER HOME EC. COMMON TEST ON WEDNESDAY. For once in my Sec1 life, I am going to act like a guaikia.

Made brown rice cake today, but Jeri's and mine turned out a bit chaoda cuz' we greased the stupid baking tin with too much oil.

IDIOT LAH.

But the chaoda one tasted better than the non-chaoda one. Not because I made it lah, but because the chaoda one was crispier than the soft non-chaoda alternative.

Don't be too happy yet, Janelle Haters, cuz' I don't think I'll get cancer from eating my own chaoda cake.

Then walked to the MRT station with Audrey today. I was supposed to take bus, but since Audrey also taking MRT I just accompany her lols.

Talking to her on the way there way so much fun.

She told me that I should go tell Mdm Siak about the Publi. Head thing, since that MORONIC Bryan Kee already has THREE roles - Chinese Monitor, History Rep and Publi. Head.

Cuz' that time when Mdm Siak found out that Bryan already got alot of roles she gave me the role of Publi. Head, then now Bryan come and snatch with me.

Then the other time I asked him that since he has so many roles if he can give me the role of Publi. Head, he said NO lehh. Then I was like,"But you got so many roles liao, you should give other people a chance." Then he was like,"Mdm Siak says that if taking three roles is not pressurizing to me, I can take all three."

FUCK HIM LA. HAS HE HEARD OF THE TERM GIVING OTHER PEOPLE A CHANCE?

Audrey was saying that if I want to do it (which of course I do) I should go talk to Mdm Siak about it, and tell her that I want it.

Now that THAT's clear, I'm going to watch my 7 o'clock show. I'm already 10mins late.

133th post. WOW.

Anyway, I REALLY don't feel like blogging now, had the worst day of my ENTIRE life today in school.

Shan't elaborate, if not will start crying again.

All I shall say is this: I thought I made true friends. Well, I was wrong. My primary school Sotong has bailed out on me. All my close friends want nothing to do with me anymore. I feel so stupid. I could see the signs coming. Why didn't I realise them before? And now, even Afrah is finding excuses not to talk to me.

Welcome to my life, friend.

For the first time this year, I was looking through all the photos I took of 604 last year for the memories, and I realised how much I miss 604.

I was telling Vanessa about my day, when she suddenly mentioned about 604. Then I brokedown. I want to go back to 604.

I MISS 604.

My friends there accept me JUST THE WAY I AM. Unlike these friggin 1D hypocrites who can't accept me when I'm myself. My friends there showed me what TRUE friendship really means - when your friends are being backstabbed and gossiped, you do them the favour of TELLING them, instead of keeping your mouth shut and being "polite". The class showed me what "Unity" really means. Unity is keeping your head together, even in times of crisis. Unity is when you can do a class cheer with everyone giving useful suggestions to make the cheer even better. That's TRUE unity. Which 1D unfortunately lacks.

I'D GIVE ANYTHING JUST TO GO BACK TO 604 AND SPEND THE YEAR AGAIN. Anything. Just name it. I'd even starve myself for 5days in a row and not drink water for a full 2days. ANYTHING.

I want to turn back time, back to December 2005. Do bad enough to go to 504 in 2006. Then I have 2years with the best class of my life.

I found these photos in my computer. I hope they're good enough to remind you of the times we shared, the one year together as a class. And I hope that when you see them, you see a class, united, full of playful fights and friendship. Which is the true spirit of 604.

604-ians reading this now, I miss you guys.

The Sotongs playing cards. The boys are playing soccer in the background. Oh, ShaoWen is playing too.

Cleaning up the classroom together on the last day of school. So fun! (Top 3 photos) Fooling around in class.

604 notice board. Nice right????? it ROCKS.
The "zhao pai" outside the classroom. See? 6RESPECTFUL.
Last, lonely view of classroom on the very last day of school.

Tables and chairs in the classroom. I was sitting RIGHT behind, next to YeeJun, fourth seat from the window.

Oh, I found these videos, too. They make me feel so privileged to have known these people - even that horrible, horrible LJY. I don't think I'll ever forget the people in the best class of my life<3.

I think one of the videos has a few scenes of me chasing after Joshua Ho with a broomstick after he placed the dustbin cover on my head.

I shall post the videos tomorrow, lazy to upload now.

604-IANS, HERE'S WISHING YOU GUYS ALL THE BEST<33...>

Jan.

P.S. Common test starts tomorrow, I will not let Mr Bong and Mrs Soh and all our teachers down.

HELLOSS!~

I feel like I haven't posted in an eternity. HONESTLY.

FIRST THINGS FIRST,

SUCKS TO YOU, TAN ZEMIN! MANCHESTER UNITED TROUNCED ARSENAL 4-0! MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

Very long liao. I just thought I'd make a public announcement so ZeMin will know EXACTLY how much Jeri, Afrah and I love the Red Devils.

Cristiano Ronaldo is HOT. Not as hot as Nic though.

Hahahahahahaha.

School was okay, I guess. Except during Malay when Liang Zhou flew his paper plane out of the class while the teacher was talking. And when JunHan kena sabo cuz he was "stretching".

HAHAHAHAHA.

I shall not elaborate further.

Nothing much happened these few days yeah?

OH YEAH, I CALLED YEEJUN AND STACEY AND VANESSA.

I just felt a sudden urge to call Stacey, so I called her. Then we chat for 40min. Then I called YeeJun, chatted for 20min.

Then just got off the phone with Vanessa, chatted for 1h30min. Apparently she was discussing how much she hates TKGS.

OH YEAH, OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE - I, JANELLE TAN, WILL BE STAYING IN NANCHIAU ALL 4 YEARS OF MY SECONDARY SCHOOL LIFE.

Yes, I have decided not to transfer to SOTA.

Don't bother asking me why unless you want me to sigh, then give a very long explanation worth 30min of your time that won't give you a complete answer.

In short, DONT. ASK.

But, Afrah, isn't this the response you were waiting for?

Hahahahahaha.

Yesyes.

I was so pissed today.

Fu LaoShi told us today got chapter 6-8 common test for HCL. So okay loh, I mugged my chapter 6-8.

THEN TODAY WHEN SHE GIVE OUT THE PAPERS THEN WE REALISED THAT IT'S COMMON TEST.

Fuck la. If she told us is common test I would have mugged Chapter 1-8 liaos.

SOMEMORE THE BLARDY EXAM TIMETABLE READS THURSDAY, NOT TUESDAY!

And the worst is that today was the 62-mark section, Section1. Thursday's section is n00bn00b one.

So idiot. Cheat people's feelings wan.

The whole class was like screaming when we found out lorh...

GRRRR....

After that got fire drill. So we squatted in the field plucking grass and weeds.

WHEE!~

It kinda reminded me of my 6o4 days, sitting in the Rosyth field during fire drills, turning the field into a desert.

Haii...

Then after that our heads were so hot you could fry and egg on it.

AFTER fire drill went up to Hall for Assembly.

HOT + COLD = SICK.

HOT SUN (fire drill) + COLD AIR-CON (hall) = SICK NCH-ians.

Hahahahahaha.

I'm so happy! Cuz' starting from Term2, GIRLS have to wear the maroon school tie to Tuesday assemblies.

WHEE!~

So happy lah, cuz' Afrah and I have wanted to wear the school tie with our unis since we realised the school ties were only for the guys.

YAY!

After that, was supposed to stay back for the story-telling, but I PON-NED the thing. And ended up in classroom accompanying WeiQi and finishing up my homework.

Cuz' WeiQi didn't do all her corrections since Exercise 2.3, so stay back to clear up everything. I was there helping her.

Oh, and finishing up that Real Numbers worksheet from Chapter2 that I STILL owe her from like, two weeks ago.

That reminds me that I still haven't dont last Monday's journal. Plus yesterday's journal. PLus my Maths Exercise 3.4

Aiya, heck lah, tomorrow go school copy from Rachel, Clarine and Afrah can liaos

xD.

I had a great time today man.

Went out with my darlings from Xiyao SNLX today. (THE GIRLS, I MEAN. NOT THE GUYS.)

There was Yiyun, Huining, my dear Chiobu, Yifeng and Chiobu's brother Shuaige.

Actually, Chiobu and Shuaige didn't come for Xiyao today, dunnowhy. So Yiyun go call Chiobu's mum ask for Chiobu's number. HAHAHAHAHA. Was laughing my head off while she talked to Chiobu's mum. She sound so polite and councillor-like. HAHAHA.

Then Shuaige say they meet us at AMK Hub, ask us go ahead first.

After Xiyao, we hung around for awhile and went on MSN, since we had to wait for my mum to give us a lift and she was helping out in the Xiao Shen Ming class.

Then went down to AMK Hub.

Yifeng was like, the only guy, so I could tell he felt very left out. But.... COME ON LAH! IS HE WANT TO GO WANN....

Yiyun said she wanted to buy nail polish, so I brought her to the shop I always go to buy my stuff. Then she suddenly say she dun wanna buy nail polish liao, she want to buy earstuds.

WTF la.

Then Yifeng bought some earrings for his single earhole (Yes, he has a single earhole on his left ear (Or is it right?)). Then when he went to pay, I could tell the shop owner was trying not to laugh. Until she saw his earhole. Then she stopped laughing.

HAHA.

After that went to Mos Burger. Actually, I wanted to go to McDonald's, but since three of them wanted to go to Mos Burger, I went with them.

After lunch we went to the CD shop, cuz' I wanted to find Simple Plan's CD. Grrr.... it was $23, and I brought $30. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......

Yeah. Then after that went up to Zone-X to take neoprints. We were queuing up when Shuaige and Chiobu came. Hahahaha. Chiobu was wearing a GREEN tee. And the neoprint machine stated that if you wear green, your shirt may end up looking transparent in the neoprints.

That's EXACTLY what happened to Chiobu's tee. Yiyun was wearing green too, but hers was a lighter green, so it wasn't THAT bad.

PRE-WARNING: IF YOU'RE GOING TO GO TO AMK HUB'S ZONE-X TO TAKE NEOPRINTS, DO NOT WEAR GREEN. UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HEAD/LEGS TO LOOK LIKE THEY'RE FLOATING.

Then after that went to buy tickets to watch Kung Fu Dunk, and then went to Macs cuz' Chiobu and Shuaige needed their lunch.

After the lunch, went into the theatre. Actually, the girls wanted to watch L:Change The World, but they thought it wasn't showing.

Then when we were walking in, Cinema 2 was showing L:Change The World. They were freaking out. Yiyun said that the lead actor very hot, then Huining and Chiobu agreed.

HOT MEH?

Good thing we didn't end up watching L. I never watch this kind of movies. NEVER. I guess I'm kinda prejudiced against these kind of movies where the lead actor is always pale and looking quite scary and the plot is scary and complicated. Like Death Note.

But, all in all, Kung Fu Dunk was QUITE nice. But I think it would have been nicer if the Captain and Xiao Lan were easier to tell apart on the court. Both have long hair tied back. I COULDN'T TELL THE CAPTAIN APART FROM XIAO LAN! On the basketball court lah. Off the court, both were quite cute. THEY LOOKED ABIT LIKE TANG YUZHE.

Is that NOT cute?

NOTE: CUTE, NOT HOT.

Hahahaha.

Then after that I said goodbye to them and came home.

Like a sensible girl=)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S~

I hope everyone had a great day. As for me, my day was simply magical.

I shall not elaborate, except that ******** took me out for a movie (P.S I Love You) at Cathay and dinner at Bugis.

What I SHALL talk about is school.

A simple and normal school day, marked with a lot of girls carrying roses down the corridors.

Actually, NCHS doesn't celebrate Valentine's Day, Mr Ong doesn't allow it. He doesn't allow the girl-boy exchange of presents. But, according to Wan Ting (1D councillor), last year he said it a few days before Valentine's, so no one gave presents.

But THIS year he said it too late, this morning. Then alot of people buy presents liao.

Hahaha.

We were walking back from HCL on the 2nd level when we walked past 2E, then one of the 2E girls sitting next to the door had a table filled with Valentine's gifts.

Not exactly FILLED, but more presents than the average girl. 4 stalks of roses lying on top of a textbook in the corner, and a big wrapped present at the other corner. Then when we walked past, she saw us staring at her gifts, and went, all,"Valentine's gifts."

HAHA.

Had Science today, went to the lab of the 4th floor.

THE 4TH FLOOR OF NCHS IS SERIOUSLY SUPER NICE LAH. I can't wait until I'm Sec4 and I get a classroom on the 4th level.

The 4th level has a PANORAMIC view of the quadrangle, and some CCA rooms on one side, and the classrooms on the other.

I. WANT. A. CLASSROOM. ON. THE. 4TH. FLOOR.

Oh yeah. I was right about SOTA, they do have a second intake in March. But I was thinking it over last night, and I realised that I can do the same thing here. I mean, in NanChiau they may not focus on music, but at least I get to do what I love in the Choir.

Besides, I'm just getting settled down here.

BUT, maybe I'll go for the audition, see if I can get in. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE.

I'm confused. I don't want to leave my new friends here, just when we're getting along so well. But on the other hand, I like SOTA's curriculum, it allows me to focus on the Arts.

AND AFTER 6 YEARS IN SOTA I GET A DIPLOMA IN MUSIC.

Should I try for SOTA? Hurry up and give me a response, guys. I need to submit the form by 17 February.

And no, I can't go for the audition and if I get in, I can't not go into SOTA. Cuz' the audition itself costs $150.

I love online shopping.

I online shop cuz' I never know where to buy nice clothes or nice accessories.

So far, I've browsed through a few blogshops and placed orders for a few items.

-White star earstuds
-Clay icecream earrings
-Little Miss Scatterbrain tee ($13)
-Little Miss Naughty tee ($11)
-Little Miss Trouble tee ($11)

I recommend these blogshops:
fullstopsandspacings.bs.com(ROCKS!)
happinesswinds.lj.com(For posters)
dramaqueenzblogshop.bs.com
exquisted-handmades.bs.com

Of course, if you're a noob at online shopping, I suggest you start out with nicer owners first. Of course, they're all nice. Just that some are nicer than others. And I suggest you start with cheap items first, like $1.50 earstuds or something. Then when you get better, then you can start ordering clothes.

I USED TO BE a noob. Now I'm still a noob. Only now I'm almost a novice. I'm working towards it.

ONLINE SHOPPING ROCKS!

I STILL DON'T HAVE ENOUGH COMMENTS TO DECIDE.... Grrrr....

I have decided on one thing though: I shall TRY to apply for a transfer to SOTA next year, if they allow it.

At least SOTA's standard of HCL won't be as insanely high as in NanChiau.

Grrr......

I have decided that I shall wait and see how much I get for my HCL common test.

I regret not DSA-ing to SOTA. Grrrr......... if only I could turn back time, back to June 'o7, and I could apply for SOTA. But it's all too late now.

Mum's going to call SOTA tomorrow and ask if they have a transfer program for Sec2 students.

I shall pray that they DO have. I want to go to SOTA now. I am getting sick of NanChiau's plain white classroom walls. And the no-handphone regulation. And the cheena uniform.

I. WANT. TO. GO. TO. SOTA.

Grrrrrrr.........

I am tearing my head apart.

But one thing I don't know, is that if I go to SOTA, I don't think they have a Choir. If they do, I don't think I'll get in.

That's one thing to consider: The NanChiau choir.

Well, I shall wait until my mum calls SOTA tomorrow and checks with them.

Sigh.........

Moving on,

For the April (or issit May?) concert, the Choir is singing two songs: Because We Sing and Hikariga. Hikariga is a Japanese song that's really melodious. And at least it's better than singing that cheena Gao Shan Qing.

I'd rather memorize Japanese lyrics than Gao Shan Qing's "阿里山的姑娘美如水啊".

Aiyo.....

My blog posts are so boring lately, all I talk about is school. If you want interesting posts, come back to my blog during the school holidays.

On Friday, I shall accompany Bernice to Compass Point, and treat her to KFC Cheese Fries. And buy the new Fahrenheit CD. And spend whatever money I have left on a nice BOOK.

I WANT THE NEW FAHRENHEIT CD!~

I tell you, having a school near Compass Point totally ROCKS.

But SOTA's campus is right smack next to Cathay. And near Bugis.

AND BUGIS HAS A NEOPRINT MACHINE!

WHY DIDN'T I DSA TO SOTA LAST YEAR??????????

Grrr.

I NEED COMMENTS, KAY???????? So if you've read this post, please give a reply, please? I SERIOUSLY NEED OPINIONS.

1. Should I try to get into SOTA? Cuz' my mum asks me if I want to go. Maybe I'll work hard to get into SOTA in Sec2. Maybe I'll take either a course in Literature (Language Arts) or Music. MAYBE.
COMMENTS!

2. Should I rebond my hair? Cuz' it's VERY wavy and gets VERY messy unless I smear conditioner on it. Should I rebond my hair? My mum wants me to! Should I ornot?

3. Should I drop HCL or continue? Cuz' 1D's standard in HCL is sucky, and I'm probably one of the lowest AND laziest in class (EXCLUDING JunHan the pai kia.)

COMMENTS, PLEASE????

Haven't post for so long, so paiseh loh. SORRY AH!

I just realised this: when I don't post, I don't get any tags.

So I shall post now, so my tagboard will be nice and full. MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

About my CNY:

THURSDAY, 7TH FEBRUARY.

OUTFIT: Brown tube dress with beige-white flowers, white faux-Chanel jacket and white wedges.

We were going up to Yishun to visit my Uncle BH's new baby boy in the BMW, but then the tyre punctured JUST when we left stretch of road outside my place. My mum had rented her car to my youngest uncle, so we were left car-less. SIGH. What to do? We parallel-parked the car, then went into the house. My cousins had just arrived, so we spent 2+ hours on the computer. Haha.

IT'S SO BLARDY UNFAIR. MY DUA YI (Lim Ruping) HAD JUST COME OVER TO MY PLACE BEFORE HER SHOW THAT NIGHT TO PASS THE ANG POWS, AND THE ADULTS DIDN'T TELL ME!!!!

Grrrr......

After that went to Uncle Willie's place to have dinner, then after my cousins taught me mahjong we ended up playing for more than 5 hours, until 1am!!!! So cool lahh!~

Then from some ulu-ulu place in Seletar (The old British campsite there) drive all the way home. Knockout liaos....

FRIDAY, 8TH FEBRUARY.

OUTFIT: White sleeveless dress with matching belt, black leggings, black half-jacket, black ballet flats.

The cousins from my Dad's side came over for lunch, and we ended up playing RISK in my room while blasting Angela Zhang's Ang 5.0 CD. Tons of fun!

After that went over to Alicia's place for dinner, at the same time watched the grand finale of Kinship II. I LOVE THE ENDING! IT ROCKS LAHH!!! Though a lil' rushed and cliched, but still nice. But it's NOTHING compared to my Love At Dolphin Bay. NO SHOW can ever replace it. It RRRRROCKS.

After watching TV, we each had a go on Alicia's NEW, PERSONAL laptop in her room. It rocks lahh! Even the Adobe Paint on her computer is more advanced than mine.

Then, Andrea and Nicolas came, and Alicia went to bathe. We naughtily took this picture WITHOUT Alicia. I think it's the only CNY photo I have, and also the nicest. Taken with handphone, so quality not that good. (WAIT, ACTUALLY, IT SUCKS.)

(From left: Aderic, Nicolas, Andrea, Peggy, Joel, Me, Gwen.)

Not ALL my cousins are in here. Less than half. Andrea's the chio bu among us. Tall, slim and quite pretty. Peggy's the smart one. She's in CHUNG CHENG HIGH loh! So smart. But she calls it a "sibei lanbei school". Gwen's the spoilt-brat one. She even dares to scold her mother loh! Eeeyoh. Aderic is the cute but NAUGHTY one. He's super, super, super naughty.

(Not in picture: Alicia Choo; Alison Choo; Melissa Lee (behind the camera); Delphine Tan; Stephane Tan; MANY MORE!)

Photo of Alicia, Alison, Peggy, Aderic, Me and Gwen taken in Taiwan last year. (Peggy's got long hair in this photo; she cut it last month.)
(From left: Peggy, Alicia, Alison, Me, Gwen, Aderic.)

WEEKEND: nothing much.

MONDAY, 11TH FEBRUARY.

OUTFIT: NCHS school uni (hahaha)

School was fun today!

Had our Lit. class test today, I found it quite okay. AUDREY THE ENGLISH PRO FOUND IT EASY.

For music must come up with jingle for 1D, but me, Clarine and Jeri spent the whole Music period laughing away and pissing Mdm Ngo off. And then Jun Han keep playing with the barres at the back of the room for the ballerinas. He was pretending to pole dance. FUNNY SIA.

Our jingle was just "ONE DUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH" then you hold the "duh" for 5secs. As Jeri said, the jingle is supposed to reflect our class spirit. Since our class has no spirit, we don't need a jingle loh!

Quite true lahh.

Other than that, nothing much until HCL. THE WHOLE 1D HCL PUPILS FAILED THEIR FIRST CLASS TEST. Yes, the whole class. Except for one lah, Rachel. I was expecting JunChao or Wen Hui. I never expected Rachel. But still, RACHEL, GOOD JOB!

Guess how much I got?

34.5/110 OVERALL.

Is that not pro? Hahahahahaha.

For my ting xie, I re-test already, STILL fail. So must write every word 10times.

I am turning into a pai kia.

Huhllo.....

I'm at my Uncle Willie's house now, going to eat dinner soon. Hahahaha.

The Internet connection is blardy laggy, so I am forced to STONE while waiting for the Internet to load.

STONE. STONE. STONE. STONE. STONE.

I have 4 days to make a 604 blogskin. I shall TRY to make those 4-in-1 blogskins that have interchangeable images, since there's no particular image that describes the spirit of 604.

I have a confession to make.

I have no idea how to play mahjong.

But that's about to change. My cousins are going to teach me how to play mahjong tonight!

Hahahah.

Wednesday, February 6
at 11:54 PM

Haha......

I've been keying and printing lyrics for the past 2+ hours or so, cuz' I'm blardy bored. The cousins are here for dinner. Technically, it's a reunion dinner. But since we're not allowed to have a reunion dinner, we just call it a DINNER. Hahaha.

The guys are all playing MapleStory on my brother's computer.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..... So boring....

I seem to have lost interest in MapleStory after my level 45 Ice/Lightning account got hacked, and my level 30 Bowman got hacked. Recently, my brother acquired a level 82 Chief Bandit account, but I'm lazy to play. My Maple skills have cobwebs all over them.

I was watching Fahrenheit and S.H.E's "Xin Wo" MV. It ROCKS la! It's so damn cute lahh.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=fLCoLSQkukw&feature=related
GO WATCH IT!!!!!

Maybe I'll bring some money and go and buy Fahrenheit's CD when I go out with the SNLX gang next week. MAYBE, just MAYBE.

Recently, I've fallen in love with some whole new songs. Like Maroon 5's "Wont' Go Home Without You" and Sara Bareilles's "Love Song". And Hoku's "Perfect Day".

I've also deleted some songs from my phone. 2 only, I think. I deleted Tata Young's El-Nin-YO! and Nat King Cole's "L-O-V-E". Actually, I have no idea how Nat King Cole ended up on my phone playlist, next to the hits that 987FM plays.

The adults are downstairs, sitting around the dinner table, watching telly and chatting loudly. Even with the door closed, I can hear them LOUD and CLEAR. They seem to be talking about Rashid's childhood. And Yisi's primary school.

I keep trying to convince Aunty Sandra to send Yisi to a school like Rosyth, or to a girls' school. She wants to send Yisi to Woodlands Primary, Yiming's school.

SHEESH. Apparently, my DEAR cousin has no dreams for the future. SHE WANTS TO BE A SALESGIRL SELLING POKEMON CLOTHES.

How hopeless can my pep talks get????

Anyhow, here are some photos I took. Not alot lah, 4 only. Cuz' after they came, I didn't get to take photos. I just finished my dinner and ran up here in front of the computer, in the comfort of the air-con (Even though I can smell the sweat off the 4 guys around me now.)

I'm going to download the "Xin Wo" video onto my phone now, Haha.

HAPPY CNY 'o8!!!!

HAPPY CNY!

My CNY will be LONELY this year =(.

Hahaha. Went to school for CNY celebrations today. It was kinda lame, actually. At first, had this super-lame handwriting competition, to see who had the best handwriting in the level. In Chinese, of course.

AFRAH and ASH (ASYIQIN) and AMIRUL and LUQMAN were writing in CHINESE. And they really tried, believe me. They really did.

Then when everyone was donw except for Afrah and Asyiqin, the photographer came into our classroom, and shot them writing in Chinese. He was saying something like,"I want something spicy."

Afrah realized she was being photographed, so she stopped writing, then shot her best supermodel pose and grinned at the camera, but the cameraman already turned to Asyiqin.

LOL.

After that, went for Assembly. Kinda lame, actually. There was a QUIZ (SUPER-DAMN-LAME) and some performances. Like Chinese Opera did one, the CL/LDDS did one, the CO did one, something like that.

When the Chinese Dance came on in glittery PINK costumes, Afrah was like,"NO!!!! MY EYES, MY EYES!!!!!" and I was forcing her to look at the dancers.

Then Jeri went, all,"Afrah ah, you'd better look at her as much as possible now. On Monday, she'll be wearing pink specs."

Then Afrah was like,"Really ah?" Then she feasted her eyes on me. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

THEN FOR ONE ITEM, MR TAY WAS DANCING AND SINGING AND ACTING!!!!! AS IN MR TAY OUR V.P.

Wow. You don't see VPs like that anymore, do you? VPs who are really open and dance and sing on stage.

After that was the prizes for best class deco. 1D will NEVER win anything. We're not enthu enough, LOL.

3rd was 1B. 2nd was 1E. 1st was 1C. Actually, we all expected 1E to be first. Cuz' 1E class deco really SUPER NICE.

Hahahahaha.

Then came home. On the bus got alot of Choir seniors. Got JiaWen, Eugenia (Alto section head) and Rachel Goh (SopranoOne section head). HAHAHAHAHA.

Eugenia said hi to me and Jeri, but I don't think Rachel saw us. Hahaha.

Then I came home and slept my way until 3pm. HAHA.

I TRIED to log into MSN, but the fucking thing can't load my contact list, so I'm here blogging instead.

I'm downloading song lyrics now, shan't type anymore.

Just found this quiz online and thought it would be quite meaningful for me to put it up:

What can we call you?
Janelle.

How do you pronounce it?
People tend to have this misconception and pronounce it jane-elle. It's not jane-elle, it's JUH-NEHL. JUH-NEHL. Get the pronounciation right.

Name your life philosophy.
Err...okay? Ummm...
DANCE LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING.
SING LIKE NO ONE IS LISTENING.
LIFE IS SHORT, SO LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST.

Who are you missing most right now?
No one. No lah. I'm actually missing Kwen JiaYi and KeMin, cuz' I haven't seen them in forever.

What pop song do you live by?
Can I name THREE? They didn't say I can't name three, so here goes.
-"I Will Learn To Love Again" by Kaci Brown.
-"You're My Little Girl" by Go Fish.
-"Who Am I" by Casting Crowns.

ALL ARE REALLY MEANINGFUL SONGS! SO GO DOWNLOAD OR FIND THE LYRICS OR WHATEVER SHIT YOU WANT TO DO.

What are three daily necessities?
-My handphone. (ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.)
-Friends.
-Music. (TAAAH-DAAAH!)

What do you adore?
Ummm...
-Nicodemus Lee of MLB.
-Lip Gloss.
-Soulful voices.
-Text messages.
-Cooling days (Not hot, not rainy. JUST RIGHT.)
-Boys with awesome guitar skills. (LIKE NIC!)
-Hot, squinty-eyed guys (LIKE NIC!)
-Guys who lead sing in bands (LIKE NIC!)
-Nic in general.
-Singing.
-Blogging.
-Hugs.
-I Love You-s.

What do you DISLIKE?
-Knee-length (Long) NanChiau skirt.
-NanChiau's tradition of wearing uni OVER your P.E. shirt.
-Chinese History lessons. (BIG FREAKING WASTE OF 40MINS.)
-Malay lessons. (ANOTHER BIG WASTE OF TIME.)
-Boring NanChiau assemblies.
-My brother's collection of boring historical movies.
-Losing face. (HAHA.)

What do you DETEST?
-Most 1D guys. (The girls ROCK, but MOST of the guys are immature, childish freaks of nature.)
-ONE 1D girl (I so cannot stand her mann. Note the word DETEST. Not DISLIKE.)
-Cockroaches.
-Smelling like a rat after P.E.
-My brother, when he talks to himself.
-When my handphone bails out on me. =(
-When a cockroach or lizard suddenly jumps out at me. (WAAAAAAAHHH!~)

Name one phrase you'd give to anyone going through a rough time now.
It used to be Kirthana's trademark, but I don't think she'll mind me using it.
IF YOU WANNA SEE THE RAINBOW, YOU GOTTA ENDURE THE RAIN.

Haha. That's all the questions. Haha.

Lovelovelove,

OMG, I HAD SO MUCH FUN TODAY CAN?!

School today was okay lahh, not much. There was Chinese History again. Except it wasn't that bad this week, cuz' we got to watch the "Zi Ri" video again and PanLaoShi let us watch some terrible cartoon. TERRIBLE LEHH. The animation looks horrid, like the artist spend 5days and finished the whole manga series. AND THEN the vocals don't match the character at all. And when the backing voice talk, the character never even open the mouth lor... SO IDIOT.

I slept in class again. Why am I not surprised?

Oh yeah. Cuz' I always sleep in Chinese History, that's why. Either that or I text message ACY. He's become my Chinese History chat partner now, LOL. Oh yeah, and I play JewelQuest 2 on my handphone and listen to music that's SUPPOSEDLY coming from my pencil case. (LOL.)

Now you understand how boring Chinese History is?

After that, we had Assembly. As usual, it was the usual bloody boring crap. I simply do not understand why we have to stay back until 2.15pm listening to some idiots present whatever they came to present, only to be scolded by the DM afterwards. WHAT THE HELL?! I COULD HAVE GONE BACK TO ROSYTH OKAYYS?! WHAT THE HELL.

Today, it was SLIGHTLY better than normal assemblies, because these 2 RJC students came to talk about "keeping the Earth clean and green". After that, the usual scolding from Mr Neo the DM. Talk about whatwhatwhat, NanChiau kids are ignorant, the graduating batches are more ignorant than the Sec1s, blahblahblah.

Somehow or other, I dunno why, I kept laughing throughout his scolding. I dunno why. I just found his scolding all very funny, so I was down there laughing to myself.

MR TAY WORE THE SAME SHIRT FOR ASSEMBLY FOR THE THIRD WEEK IN A ROW. WOW. Our VP always wears a salmon-pink shirt coupled with the maroon NCHS school tie. COME ON, MR TAY, SALMON PINK AND MAROON DO NOT MATCH.

After that, I had to stay back to re-do my ting xie, cuz' I failed with flying colours. I mean, I NEVER EVEN GLANCED AT THE PAPER AND I GOT 5/20. I am seriously pro.

Haha. But I cheated though. Rachel sat next to me and told me how to write SOME OF the words. So I'm not a complete cheater after all. LOL.

After that, went back to ROSYTH.

I MISS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the bus-stop, folded my skirt to knee length and pulled my socks to ankle. Come on, you can't expect me to go see my Rosyth friends wearing high nerd socks. SERIOUSLY.

Reached there around 3.30, went with Rachel. Firstly, went to RITZ. Lianne and Muhaimin and YeeJun were there.

LIANNE - Looks fab in her TKG uni. She wears it like it's some kind of ironic fashion statement of something, LOL. She's in the TKG BAND.

YEEJUN - Complaining about Stacey not being able to make it. Looks quite good in her uni. She's in TKG DANCE.

MUHAIMIN - MUHAIMIN HAS A GIRLFRIEND!!!!! AND HE TOLD MR BONG!!!!!! Wahh. But to be honest, he looks really good in his SGS uni. But, still, he was singing songs from Barney. Barney and SGS unis DO NOT MIX. Then Mr Bong went, all,"Last year ask you go Talentime you don't want, now come and I love you you love me." He's in the SGS SOCCER team.

HAHA.

Then he asked me what me and Jeri were doing there yesterday. So I told him about the 159 thing. He laughed.

After that, Muhaimin left. Then the four girls chatted until YeeJun had to leave. SO IDIOT LOH! I GO ALL THE WAY THERE CUZ' SHE TOLD ME TO, THEN WE SAY A FEW WORDS AND SHE HAD TO GO. WE DIDN'T EVEN TAKE PHOTO LOH!

Then Lianne went to help the RCB, and Rachel and I went to the canteen. I miss the Rosyth canteen, on account of how the NanChiau canteen is half the size of the Rosyth canteen.

I miss the Rosyth TOILETS!!!!! I was saying that, then all the P1s look at me like I lost my mind. LOL. The Rosyth toilets are so colourful and warm-looking. The NanChiau toilets look like prison cells.

After that, SherYun and STACEY came! HAHA, YEEJUN! THAT SHOWS YOU TO LEAVE AT 3.45! YOU DIDNT GET TO SEE STACEY! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I hugged Stacey. I haven't talked to her for ages. She looks SO different now man! She looks AWESOME in her Zhonghua uni. She looks really slim and nice. Oh, and she rebonded her hair!!!!! SHE LOOKS FANTASTIC, I TELL YOU.

Hehe, YeeJun. That teaches you to leave before 5. I got to see Stacey, you didn't. Muahahahaha.

We walked round and round the school, comparing NanChiau to ZhongHua. AND STACEY SOTONG STILL HASN'T GOTTEN HERSELF A HANDPHONE!!!!! Grr.... I'm going to kill her for not wanting one. (SHE DOESN'T WANT ONE! IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO SURVIVE WITHOUT A HANDPHONE?) I don't care. I shall buy her a handphone for her birthday, whether she likes it or not. SHE SERIOUSLY NEEDS ONE SO I CAN TEXT HER. I can't be calling her house once a month, can I? And she only goes on MSN from 7.30am to 12noon, whereas I go on from 9pm to 12midnight.

TOTAL COUNT TODAY:
Number of teachers met :5. Mr Bong, Mrs Soh, BaiLaoShi (She still sucks), Ms J (STILL REMEMBERS ME!!!!!) and Ms Chong.
Number of pupils: 1 from SGS.
2 from TKG.
2 from ZhongHua.
3 from NanChiau.

Later, people. LOVE YOU ALL!

STACEY, REMEMBER TO TAG, YOU SOTONG! AND GO ASK SHERYUN FOR MY NUMBER!
YEEJUN, NEXT TIME CALL STACEY BEFORE YOU LEAVE!

"(Chorus)
Because we sing, the world shines brighter.
Because we sing, we take away all fear.
Let music ring and your heart beats lighter.
And love will live forever,
Because we sing.

Listen to a language that speaks right to the heart.
Chorus

(Pre-Chorus)
Music is a light glowing deep inside of me.
Shining deep to heart it grows,
In perfect harmony,
Beating like the Sun.
Lift your voice in joy, and sing!

Chorus

Pre-Chorus

Chorus

Because we sing of hope.
Our hearts implore, let music never cease.
Beyond the stars our song will soar.
We dream a world of peace

Because we sing (x2)

Chorus

All the world shines brighter because we sing! (x2)"

That's the song we learnt in Choir today, it's called "Because We Sing". It's a fantastically beautiful FIFTEEN-PAGE song that will take approxiamtely 3:45 to perform. But I love it. It's a GREAT "poppy" song as compared to the CHEENA "Gao Shan Qing" we learnt last Friday.

EXCEPT that I can't seem to sing it. BECAUSE it's a TWO-PART SONG, and the NC Choir is THREE-PART. So the Sopranos take one part and we take one part. BUT, the Alto section is SUPER-DAMN-HIGH lah! It's like..... Soprano2 territory. I can't even hit the LOWEST note, I can only sing the line that says "Listen to a language that speaks right to the heart.", cuz' that one is the LOWEST line in the whole entire freaking song.

I think Jeri can, on account of how she used to be in Soprano1 back in the Rosyth Choir.

On the way home, me and Jeri took the 159, and we thought it was the 109. 109 stops at the bus-stop I have to transit, whereas 159 stops at Regentville. From there I have to WALK.

But then, because we thought it was 109, we didn't bother when they alighted at Regentville. But when the bus went straight ahead instead of turning the way 109 always does, I knew we were on the 159 instead.

So we quickly alighted and walked back to Jeri's place. On the way back to Rosyth, we saw Mr Guan, our P6 Health Ed teacher, famous for being super-nice to 6o4. But he didn't seem to recognize us. But we didn't take it to heart la, cuz' Mr Guan has so many classes per year, then somemore he doesn't even know our class by name.

We were crossing the zebra crossing when we saw a GOLD car at the zebra crossing too. Then the person was waving to us. As in, JERILENE'S TRADEMARK DOUBLE-HAND WAVE. So I was like,"Who is that ah?"

Until we were at the other side, and the person wound the car window down and stuck his head out. AND WE REALISED IT WAS MR BONG!!!!!!!

We were damn happy lah, waving and waving and waving and keep screaming "Hello!". He went "Hello!" back, but then the light changed green so he had to drive off, so we were yelling,"BYE!" instead. LOL.

I decided to go to the Kopitiam to buy a packet of french fries, since last time, back in Rosyth we would buy fries every Thursday while staying back for supplementary class. I MISS THE FRIES THERE LA CAN??? I haven't eaten the fries there since last year's 21st November, collecting PSLE results, where I went to Hougang Point with the Sotongs.

I was waiting for my fries when someone tapped me on the shoulder. MS CHONG!!!!!!!! My P5 teacher still remembers me lehh!!!! Waaahhhh.

She's teaching P3 now, I think. But I didn't really talk to her, just asked her who she's teaching now, and that was the end of it.

WOAH.

After seeing all these teachers, and getting a view of Rosyth (back gate), I realised how much I miss Rosyth. I mean, even though I'm having a SUPER-FAB time in NCHS, I still miss all my 6o4-ians.

Then when I came home, I decided to delete some files so that I can download more songs onto my phone (My 2GB memory card is almost full. SOMEONE BUY ME A 8GB ONE?!) when I found last year's Jumble Sale pics, hidden in a deserted corner of my handphone. Woah, that seriously made me cry. Not in TRAGICALLY cry that cry, but just a few tears, that's all.

Enough about the tragic stuff and onto the "PUBLISH POST" button!

GLORY, GLORY, HALLELUJAH! I, JANELLE TAN, FIXED MY OWN INTERNET!!!!!!!!!

Do I rock or what? LOL.

Since my mum refuses to fix my Internet until AFTER the common tests, I took matters into my own hands. And after going out with the Xiyao SNLX gang today, I spent 3 hours rewiring all the cables on my computer.

And now, my Internet works like a charm.

Except that I have absoulutely no idea when my Internet is going to bail out on me again, yeah?

Anyway, I went to East Coast Park with the SNLX gang today, it was DAMN BLARDY fun la can?

I got the bottom half of my body soaked cuz' I kept running into the sea. HAHA.

Then when I told Ang Chong Yi I'm in the NC Choir, he don't believe. Then he keep on asking me to do demo for him, then I dunwant cuz' sibei paisei lehhs.

BUT THEN, after that got one game where me and Yiyun kena forfeit, then IDUNNOWHO (Come to think of it, I think it's Ang Chong Yi.) went all,"SING A SONG!" then all the guys seem to agree with him.

So we bo pian loh, sing "Romeo and Juliet" by Cao Ge and Genie Zhuo, cuz' EVERYONE knows that song.

Then after that I went home, then ACY SMSed me, saying "Wa. Nice singing sia."

Then I replied him,"Now you believe I in Choir?"

And then he went, all,"Ya. Believe liao."

THEN HE KEEP ON ASKING ME TO GO FOR CAMPUS SUPERSTAR.

I tell him I don't want, cuz' all the GIRL contestants are like, Sec3 and above, and they all have wonderful figures and they're all matured.

UNLIKE ME. I'm fat and immature. HELLO? I'M ONLY THIRTEEN, IN STARK CONTRAST TO THOSE FIFTEEN/SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD SWANS.

Bleh. But I admit, it wasn't my best performance.

CUZ' EVERYONE WAS CROWDING AROUND US IN A CIRCLE, THEN DAMN PAISEHH LEHHS. THEN INSIDE THE CIRCLE ONLY GOT ME AND YIYUN, THEN I DUNNO WHO THE HELL TO LOOK AT, SO KEEP LOOKING AT YIYUN LOH.

Not to mention, the acoustics SUCKED. It was out in the open, hello?

Hahahahaha.

But I had TONS of fun, seriously. I mean, even though we were out on the beach, on tiny rocks of quartz and getting ants up our calves, I was with my friends.

And it's not WHERE you are, it's WHO you're with. And my friends make me happy, no matter where I am. I could be in the rubbish dump (Kinda like Stuart Little in Stuart Little 2) and even if I had my friends around me, I wouldn't mind. Seriously.

We're going out nextnext week, on the 17th. Originally, Huining wanted V-day, the 14th. But then I told her that I cannot go out on weekdays, especially since it's ONE WEEK before my Common Tests. Then I suggested Sunday, after Xiyao.

Yiyun and Huining wanted Jurong East or Jurong Point, since they live near there. Then I told them I cannot go all the way there. Charmaine wanted Tampines Mall, since she lives in Woodlands. Then I suggested AMK Hub, since it has a neoprint machine, an arcade, a theatre, AND a Mac's.

So we're going to AMK Hub. But the details other than that not confirmed. But I know some of the other guys are going, like maybe Junjie. That one I must confirm with Yiyun.

YIYUN AND HUINING AND CHARMAINE AND LINGZHEN AND SARA MY BELOVED JIEJIES<3

And YingXuan my twin sister=)

LOL.

I'm going to do the 1D blog now, cya!
